Psychologies magazine has hired Mariella Frostrup and David Baddiel as columists.
Frostrup will write Psychologies’ new ‘Fiction Prescription’from the May issue, suggesting the books to suit particular moods.
Baddiel will join the magazine from the June issue, writing on relationships.
Psychotherapist Derek Draper moves from his regular column to becoming the magazine’s agony uncle.
Author and journalist for The Guardian and Daily Mail Victoria Moore will be the new drink writer.
Psychologies editor Maureen Rice said: ‘We are delighted to welcome our new columnists – we’re all about quality writing and expertise, and these writers are the best in their fields.
‘This is a great coup for Psychologies magazine and we really look forward to working with them.”
Rice was awarded both editor of the year (consumer magazines) by the Periodical Publishers Association and editor of the year by the British Society of Magazine Editors in 2008.
The title’s circulation the second half of 2008, according to ABC, was 140,438.
